Of all the venues we work at, NürnbergMesse has the strictest rules on photography and filming. Its general terms of participation (section 15) let exhibitors hire paid photo and film crews for their stand only from providers the organiser has approved and who carry a pass to prove it. Outside the daily opening hours, before admission and after closing, those approved providers are the only ones working on stands. Other exhibitors' stands and products are off limits to everyone.
The venue's service information shows what that means day to day. Commercial photography is normally handled by the venue's own service partner, and shooting for your own stand can be arranged individually. If an exhibitor brings in its own external photographer, that photographer needs a paid special permit, and the application has to be in at least 21 days before the first day of the event. Video and film fall explicitly under the same rule.
So count back from the first show day. For Spielwarenmesse opening on 2 February 2027 the deadline falls on 12 January 2027, for BIOFACH from 16 February on 26 January, for embedded world from 16 March on 23 February, and for FACHPACK from 21 September 2027 on 31 August. We plan with a buffer: get in touch as soon as your hall and stand (booth) number are fixed. Five details are enough for us: the exhibiting company's name, the show, hall and stand number, the days you want covered and who our contact on the stand will be.
Some organisers set details differently in their special terms of participation; if in doubt, what those say for your show is what counts. And because only approved providers may work before and after opening hours, we place every shot within opening hours. The overview of your empty stand happens in the first minutes after opening, while the aisles are still empty, and details follow in quiet moments towards closing.
Toys, organic food, electronics, packaging: in Nuremberg the product usually matters more than the stand architecture, so detail shots make up a large share of the work. With LED lights and small backdrops in our cases we set up a compact product corner on your stand, on a counter or a free table. That way colours, surfaces and packaging are right regardless of the hall lighting.
At Spielwarenmesse, 2 to 6 February 2027, every new product needs two things: a clean product photo and a short clip in which you can see what the toy does. We deliver those clips in vertical 9:16, so your distributors can share them while the show is still on. BIOFACH follows right after, 16 to 19 February, with food, packaging and tastings in the foreground: close shots of products and hands, tastings at the counter, conversations with buyers. HOGA runs in January before that.
A day at a product show like this runs as follows: in the first minutes after opening we shoot the stand overview, then set up the product corner and work through your list of new products. From late morning, when buyers and distributors are on the stand, we move to conversations and demos, shot from the edge of your space. In a quieter phase we record interviews with lavalier microphones, in English, German, Arabic or Farsi. You get a first selection that evening and everything else within 24 hours, so your distributors see what is going on at your stand while the show is still running.
Electronics and automation have a rhythm of their own. At SPS, 24 to 26 November 2026, controls and systems run live, and video takes a large share. At embedded world, 16 to 18 March 2027, the subjects are boards, modules and demos at close range. it-sa at the end of October is different: IT security shows up in meetings, talks and screens, so we photograph people and stages rather than products. BrauBeviale in November combines machinery with drinks and tastings.
Further dates in the calendar are Chillventa and iENA in autumn 2026, Enforce Tac, IWA OutdoorClassics and the European Coatings Show in spring 2027, eltec in June, FACHPACK in September and interlift in October 2027. The same 21-day deadline applies to each of them.
In the south-east of Nuremberg, 16 halls with around 180,000 square metres of covered gross space, according to NürnbergMesse, sit next to an outdoor area. Besides halls 1 to 12 there are 3A, 3C, 4A and 7A. Two of them are on two floors: Hall 10 and the Frankenhalle, which counts as Hall 11. If your stand is there, tell us the level too, so the meeting point and routes are set in advance.
The U1 (direction Langwasser Süd) needs eight minutes from the central station to the Messe stop, which comes up at Entrance Mitte. Landing at the airport, you ride the U2 to the central station and change there; the venue puts the whole trip at about 20 minutes. Local transport in the VGN network is already included in the show ticket. The grounds have six entrance areas in all, including Mitte, West and Ost. If your stand is in an outer hall, we use the nearest entrance.
Three congress centres belong to the site: NCC West, NCC Mitte, joined to NCC West by a glass walkway, and NCC Ost in the Frankenhalle. Conferences and talk programmes often run there alongside the show. If you speak there or sit on a panel, we film it with one or more cameras and add a short cut for LinkedIn. Our travel from Essen is quoted once per trip, and every exhibitor we cover in the same show week shares that amount. The early request the permit needs anyway also helps with hotels: in weeks like Spielwarenmesse or BIOFACH, rooms in Nuremberg go quickly. Companies based outside the EU pay no German VAT, EU companies with a VAT ID get a reverse-charge invoice. Your edited images are with you before you fly home.
