Cosmetics live on details that hall lighting easily destroys: the texture of a cream, the shimmer of an eyeshadow, the colour of a nail polish. Packaging is often high-gloss, mirrored or glass and shows every lamp. We photograph products with our own soft light and angles that control reflections, and we lay out swatches and textures so you can almost feel them.
Skin tones are the second big topic. Mixed light from LED walls and ceiling spots turns skin greenish or too red. For demos, treatments and portraits we expose for skin, correct colour carefully and retouch with restraint, so results stay credible.

In spring, Düsseldorf hosts BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF for cosmetics, nails and foot care, and TOP HAIR for hairdressing, both with stages and live shows. Fitness, wellness and health are at FIBO in Cologne, jewellery and watches at INHORGENTA in Munich, eyewear at opti in Munich. Düsseldorf and Cologne are in North Rhine-Westphalia, where travel is included.
Many beauty brands also exhibit in the Gulf. At Beautyworld Middle East in Dubai and Beautyworld Riyadh we work just as we do in Germany, with a crew that speaks Arabic. For the Gulf we quote travel and accommodation once per trip, shared between exhibitors at the same show.
At hair and beauty fairs the stage shows are often the strongest images. They have their own lighting and a lot of movement; we photograph them without flash from fixed positions and film the highlights for Reels.
