At Leipziger Messe almost every route runs through the Glass Hall: glass walkways link it to the exhibition halls and the Congress Center Leipzig. We arrive from Essen with compact kit, work on your stand under the venue's house rules and deliver photos and video within 24 hours.

Leipziger Messe lies in the north of the city and is unusually easy to reach for exhibitors flying in. From Leipzig/Halle Airport the S5 suburban line takes eight minutes to Leipzig Messe station, according to the venue. The tram ends at the Messegelände stop, and by car you arrive via the A14 and the B2. The venue lists around 12,500 visitor parking spaces.
The grounds comprise five exhibition halls, the multi-purpose HALLE:EINS, the Glass Hall, the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) and around 70,000 square metres of outdoor space with the Messesee lake. Which entrance suits you depends on your hall: halls 4 and 5 are reached via the East entrance hall, hall 3 via the Glass Hall, hall 2 via the Glass Hall or the CCL. The Glass Hall also serves as the West entrance hall.
Glass walkways connect the Glass Hall, the exhibition halls and the CCL, and the East entrance is linked through them too. For our day this means we move between your stand (booth), a talk in the CCL and a photo position in the Glass Hall without a detour across the open grounds. With your hall and stand number we fix the entrance and are with you before visitors are let in.
The CCL is built into the grounds and, according to the venue, connected to all other areas. It has 23 rooms and halls and is used on its own or together with the Glass Hall and adjoining halls. If your show runs a conference programme in the CCL, we record your talk or panel with one or several cameras and are back at your stand in good time afterwards.
Our kit fits into rolling cases: two camera bodies, lenses, a gimbal, lavalier microphones and LED lights. No delivery is needed, and we come in on the exhibitor passes you assign to us. Travel from Essen is quoted once per trip and shared between the exhibitors of the same show week. You fly in, take the S5 and are on the grounds within minutes. We meet you at the stand before opening, with the shot list agreed in advance.
The Glass Hall is the landmark of Leipziger Messe, and for photography it is a gift: plenty of daylight and architecture that people recognise as Leipzig at once. We like to shoot team photos, portraits of your management or an interview with a calm background there, when operations allow and the space is free. Inside the halls we work with our own light so that exhibits and brand colours are accurate.
On the rules, Leipziger Messe is explicit. Its house rules prohibit photos, videos, sound recordings, sketches and drawings, in particular of stands or exhibits, without the prior permission of the entitled party. Depending on the subject, that is Leipziger Messe or the exhibitor. For your own stand, you give that permission when you commission us.
That sets clear limits. We do not record other exhibitors' stands or exhibits, not even in passing for an aisle shot. For shots in the Glass Hall or the CCL we check beforehand that the space is free. Drones and model aircraft are banned across the whole site under the house rules, so overviews of your stand are taken from raised camera positions on your own space.
The terms of participation of your show also apply and can include their own rules on photo and film. We go through them with you before the show and ask recognisable visitors before they become the subject of an image. If images are going to run in adverts later, we agree in advance which people may be recognisable and whose written consent should be on file.
In November, denkmal, the fair for heritage conservation, restoration and the renovation of old buildings, runs alongside MUTEC for museum and exhibition technology. Craft and material sell here: surfaces, tools, before-and-after comparisons. We photograph details with side light so that textures show, and record demonstrations as short clips. Because both shows take place in the same week, their exhibitors share the travel. At MUTEC many exhibitors show display cases, lighting and media technology. Glass and screens reflect, so we choose camera angles and our own light to keep the exhibits clearly visible.
Intec in March 2027 is the fair for machine tools and production technology. Customers want to see machines running: the machining process, the finished part, the operation. We time the shoot to your demo schedule and film the process in sequences that show in a few seconds of the highlight video what the machine can do.
Shortly afterwards comes the Leipzig Book Fair, which is also open to the public. We record readings, author talks and signings with one or several cameras and cut short versions for social media. On busy days we work from the edge of your stand and keep the aisles clear, and we photograph new titles and the stand design in the quieter morning hours.
A show day in Leipzig usually runs in this order for us: stand overview and product details before opening, then a team photo in the Glass Hall when it is quiet there, from late morning demos, conversations and stage slots, and in a calmer phase interviews with lavalier microphones in English, German, Arabic or Farsi. If you book only two hours, we place them around opening. In the evening you receive a first selection, the rest follows within 24 hours, so the edited photos are ready before your flight home. Quote, briefing and delivery run in English or German. Companies outside the EU are invoiced without German VAT, EU companies with a VAT ID receive a reverse-charge invoice.
