More of the world's leading industry fairs take place in Germany than anywhere else. Messe Düsseldorf hosts MEDICA, interpack, K and ProWein; Koelnmesse has Anuga, gamescom and imm cologne; Messe Frankfurt runs Automechanika, Ambiente and ISH; Deutsche Messe in Hannover is home to HANNOVER MESSE and Agritechnica. Messe Berlin has IFA, ITB and InnoTrans, Messe München has bauma and electronica, and Messe Stuttgart, NürnbergMesse, Hamburg Messe and Messe Essen complete the calendar.
The rhythm is similar everywhere. A show runs three to five days, doors open at 09:00 or 10:00 and close around 18:00, and the set-up days before the opening belong to the stand builders, not to pictures. Halls are numbered, aisles are lettered, and your stand (booth) has a hall-and-number address such as Hall 12, B34 that we need in the brief. Exhibitor passes come from the venue's online exhibitor portal, and a pass from your own allocation gets our crew through the door.
For an exhibitor arriving from Shanghai, Dubai or Istanbul the difficulty is not the venue but the distance. Our answer is one crew, one price list and one contact for every German venue. Pixer GmbH is based at Messeallee 26 in Essen, directly at Messe Essen and about 30 minutes from Messe Düsseldorf and Koelnmesse. Frankfurt and Hannover are two to two and a half hours by train; Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Hamburg are a train ride or a one-hour flight. Travel within North Rhine-Westphalia is included; for other cities we quote it once per trip and share it between exhibitors booking the same show week.
If you book a single block, book it for the first show day. The hour before the doors open is the only time the stand is clean: no coats on chairs, no visitors, no crates in the aisle. Those are the images you will reuse for the website, the press kit and next year's stand proposal. From 10:00 to about 13:00 footfall peaks at almost every German fair, and that is when the busy pictures happen: full stand, live demonstrations, handshakes, people in motion.
The later days are for everything that needs calm. Team portraits, interviews with your managing director or product lead, product close-ups, statements from visiting distributors and stage slots all work better on day two or three. Avoid the last afternoon: aisles empty early, neighbours start packing, and the background turns into crates and shrink-wrap.
First photos usually reach you the same evening, the complete edited set and the highlight video within 24 hours after the coverage ends. A Tuesday shoot is on your phone before a Thursday flight home, and the LinkedIn post goes out while the show is still running.
The rule at every German venue is simple: an exhibitor may photograph and film its own stand, products and staff without any further permit. Our crew works on your exhibitor pass, so no press accreditation is involved. What you may not do is photograph other exhibitors' stands and products close up without their consent; every major German venue says so in its regulations. Wide aisle shots with neighbours in the background are normal practice. If a third-party logo would be prominent in paid advertising, we clear it before the picture is used.
People are the second question. Under German and EU data protection rules we ask visitors before they appear recognisably in the foreground, and for your own staff we recommend a short written consent form, which we can supply as a template in English.
The logistics are less dramatic than they look from abroad. We enter on the exhibitor pass about an hour before opening. Our kit is compact: two camera bodies, a few lenses, battery lights and a gimbal, nothing that blocks an aisle. We need no power or space on your stand, only ten minutes with the person who knows what matters this year.
Clean architecture and product shots before opening, busy stand pictures at peak time. 30 to 120+ edited images.
A 30-second highlight cut in every package, a 90-second film with interviews in the Full Day package. Delivered within 24 hours.
9:16 clips for Instagram, TikTok, WeChat and LinkedIn mobile, one to three per package, ready while the show runs.
Statements from your management, product leads and visiting partners in English, German, Arabic or Persian, with subtitles.
Team pictures and portraits on the stand for press releases, LinkedIn profiles and your distributor network.
Several fairs in one season, one contact and the same crew from Düsseldorf to Hannover to Munich.
A post with your stand while the show is still running gets seen and shared. That is why every package includes finished photos and video within 24 hours after the event ends — first images usually the same day. Two revision rounds included.
