More than 800 exhibitors from the whole additive manufacturing process chain: printers, powders, software, post-processing. At Formnext there are machines that run throughout the show and parts whose quality you only see from 20 centimetres. We photograph and film both — for your website, your sales team and the LinkedIn post on the show day.

From the outside a 3D printer is a box with a viewing window. The picture only happens when you shoot through that window: the laser on the powder bed, the print head over the build plate, the part taking shape. We work with a polarising filter against reflections in the glass and with exposure times that make the process visible — a film of it, not just a still.
The second job is the parts themselves: titanium implants, aluminium heat exchangers, series plastic parts, lattice structures. Metallic surfaces with the typical layer structure need directional light, otherwise they disappear in the grey hall light. We set up a small product table right on the stand and photograph your sample parts as a series — with a consistent background, usable for website, data sheet and quotation.
Formnext is a show where machines run. A 30-second video showing print process, depowdering, post-processing and the finished part in a visitor's hand explains more than any brochure. We film live demonstrations from several positions and cut vertical clips for LinkedIn, where your customers from aerospace, medtech and automotive are. Short interviews with your application engineers are delivered with subtitles — in English, since more than half of exhibitors and almost half of visitors come from abroad.
Tuesday and Wednesday are the strongest days for technical conversations; Friday is noticeably quieter. For clean machine and stand overviews we use the hour before opening, then come demonstrations, conversations and interviews. A four-hour package on Tuesday or Wednesday covers everything. If you are showing a world premiere, book Tuesday — we deliver the first images that evening, while the trade press is still reporting on the show.
Photographed and filmed through the viewing window — laser, powder bed and print head without reflections.
Metal and plastic parts in directional light as a consistent series — layer structure visible, background neutral.
Live demonstration from several positions, 30-second highlight and vertical clips the same day.
Architecture and lighting before the doors open, with no visitors in frame.
Briefing and engagement in English, invoice without German VAT for companies outside the EU.
Statements from application engineers and management with radio mics, delivered with subtitles.
A post with your stand while the show is still running gets seen and shared. That is why every package includes finished photos and video within 24 hours after the event ends — first images usually the same day. Two revision rounds included.
A sample from our production: the event recap for your website and LinkedIn — below it, native 9:16 footage for Reels, Shorts and Stories, shot in parallel with the main coverage.

Yes. With a polarising filter and adapted exposure we show laser and build plate instead of the hall's reflection. For powder bed systems we time the slot to a running build job.
