MEDICA is a trade-only fair. The audience is doctors, hospital purchasing managers, distributors and technical decision-makers. That audience is not interested in atmosphere shots with a champagne glass — they want to see the product, the detail, the build quality, and the person who can explain it.
So we weight the coverage differently than at a consumer show: more product detail, more genuine consultation situations on the stand, more portraits of your specialists. The classic wide stand shot still matters — but at MEDICA it is not the image that wins business.
One specific point applies to medical devices: images showing a product in a clinical or application context are subject to regulatory constraints in some markets. Tell us in advance which depictions are problematic for your target markets, and we will avoid them at the point of capture rather than during selection afterwards.
Because a large share of your international distributors and partners are already on site, MEDICA is the cheapest opportunity all year to record video statements. People you would otherwise have to visit individually are standing on the same site for four days.
We set up a compact interview position in a quieter corner of your stand: lighting, radio mic, neutral background. A statement takes ten to fifteen minutes including setup. Across four days, ten to twenty usable interviews is entirely realistic.
On request we deliver the cuts with English and German subtitles, so the same footage works across several markets.
For a four-day fair we do not recommend treating every day the same. What works: Day 1 as full coverage — clean stand photography before opening, then the busy pictures and the first interviews. Day 1 images go online the same evening and pull visitors in for the remaining days.
Days 2 and 3 in shorter blocks for further interviews, partner meetings and stage programme. Day 4 is usually calmer and suits team and portrait work that gets squeezed out earlier in the week.If the budget allows only one day: take the first. The images then have three more show days to do their work.
Nothing needs to be arranged locally on your side. We arrive with our own cameras, lenses, lighting and audio, meet you at the stand during build-up or first thing on the morning of day one, and agree the shot list in about ten minutes.
Invoicing is issued by a German GmbH with a VAT identification number, so EU-registered companies are billed under the reverse-charge procedure with no German VAT added.

MEDICA is the most heavily requested show week of the year in Düsseldorf. We recommend booking by the end of September; after that the popular morning slots get tight.
