The Power Transmission & Distribution Technology Expo gathers the technology behind the grid in hall 10.1: transformers, switchgear, cables, protection and monitoring for transmission and distribution system operators. Large grey exhibits and software on screens are two opposite tasks for the camera — we solve both on the stand and deliver material your sales team can use with grid operators worldwide.

A sectioned transformer, gas-insulated switchgear, a cable sample 20 centimetres across: grid technology is large, heavy and mostly painted grey or beige. Under flat hall lighting it loses all contour. We photograph such exhibits with directed side light that picks out edges, insulators and terminals, and from viewpoints that show scale — with a person alongside when it helps. Detail shots of contacts, sensors and rating plates complement the overview for data sheets and tender documents.
The other half of the hall is screens: grid control systems, monitoring dashboards, protection relays with displays. Here it is about exposure without moiré and without blown-out whites, so your software interface stays legible while the stand does not sink into darkness. We capture both — hardware and software — in one pass.
The Open Technology Forum runs in the hall throughout the show. If your engineers speak there, we photograph speaker and audience and, if you wish, film the talk in full — material for your website and for customers who were not in Cologne. New in 2026 are the Power T&D Industry Awards; nominated companies are covered at the ceremony.
Because the show is only in its second year, most exhibitors have no imagery of their Cologne presence yet. A stand video with walk-through, exhibits in operation and a two-minute statement from your sales director in English fills that gap — cut on the show day, subtitled, vertical for LinkedIn and landscape for the website.
Tuesday and Wednesday are full show days until 5 pm; Thursday closes at 1 pm and many exhibitors start dismantling then. We therefore recommend Tuesday or Wednesday: the hour before the 10 am opening for clean stand and exhibit shots, then conversations with grid operators and consultants, demonstrations on the stand and interviews.
A four-hour package in the morning covers stand, products and first conversations; a full day adds the forum appearance and interviews. With some 60 countries represented in hall 10.1, briefing and engagement run in English — and the images are ready before your team leaves.
