boe international opens the event year in Dortmund every January: stand builders, furnishers, event technology and AV, event IT, venues, acts and catering meet agencies, corporates and decision-makers from marketing, HR and procurement in halls 4 to 7. In 2027 the show launches in a new format. At this show the stand itself is the product — and whoever sells light, LED and stage needs pictures that show exactly that properly.

At boe a stand builder shows its stand as a reference, a technology rental company its LED wall, a lighting designer its moving lights, and everything runs at once: haze, coloured surfaces, video walls, stages. For a camera this is the hardest environment a trade fair can offer — the LED wall is a hundred times brighter than the aisle, haze eats contrast, and moving lights change colour and direction every second. We expose so LED content stays legible and the stand does not sink into black, match shutter speeds to refresh rates so no banding appears, and photograph lighting moods in series so you can choose between several looks.
Stand builders get architectural shots with shift perspective and straight edges — material that goes straight into the reference portfolio. Furnishers and furniture rental companies get detail shots of surfaces, furniture and materials in stand light.
Light, video and show only explain themselves on video. We film LED content, light shows and stage programme at matching frame rates so no flicker bands appear, and cut 30-second vertical clips for LinkedIn and Instagram plus longer sequences for your website. Acts, performers and walking acts are photographed with short exposures without flash. Interviews with management and customers are recorded with radio mics; at stage volume with shotgun mics.
Exhibitors from the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary and other countries are briefed in English.
Two days, and Wednesday is the longer and stronger one. We recommend a four-hour package on Wednesday: stand architecture and lighting moods in the hour before opening when all systems are running and nobody is in frame, then conversations, stage and interviews. Thursday suits late appointments and a second lighting mood. Highlight video and first images are delivered on Wednesday evening — your post goes live while the industry is still in Dortmund.
