BIM World MUNICH is the meeting point for construction digitalisation in the German-speaking region: more than 200 exhibitors, around 8,500 trade visitors, its tenth edition at the ICM in 2026. There are hardly any physical products here — there is software on screens, VR headsets, laser scanners and people explaining. We photograph and film your stand so planners and contractors can see afterwards what your solution does.

The BIM World exhibit is a model on a monitor. Photograph the screen alone and you get a screenshot with a bezel; photograph the stand and the screen is a blown-out rectangle. We do both at once: shutter speed matched to the refresh rate, exposure set so model and the person in front of it are visible together. Someone showing what they show — that is the picture that belongs in your case study.
VR and AR demos live on the reaction of the person under the headset; we photograph that, not the headset. Laser scanners, drones and tablets on tripods are the few tangible objects in the ICM — in side light they become product shots. The congress centre has spot and mixed lighting under low ceilings; we bring our own light so faces and displays keep natural colours.
BIM World is half congress. If your product manager speaks on one of the stages, we photograph speaker and audience from several positions and cut vertical quotes. Startups in the Innovation World Cup get their pitch and the award ceremony on Wednesday on the Main Stage in the picture — material that ends up in every investor deck later on.
For software, video works better than stills: a 20-second sequence of someone on the stand navigating the model and explaining says more than ten screenshots. On request we combine your own screen recording with our footage from the stand into one subtitled clip.
Tuesday is the full day with the opening and most of the technical conversations; on Wednesday afternoon the Innovation World Cup final draws the audience to the Main Stage. For a small stand at the ICM a two-hour package on Tuesday is enough: stand overview before the start, then demos, conversations and a statement. If you have a stage slot or a pitch, plan for four hours.
The highlight video and a first photo selection are ready on the evening of the shoot day — at a two-day show, that is the post that goes live while the event is still on.
Model and person in the same frame — shutter matched to refresh rate, no screenshot with a bezel.
The reaction under the headset, scanners and tablets in side light — the tangible side of digitalisation.
Speaker and audience from several positions, Innovation World Cup on Wednesday on the Main Stage.
Stand and lighting before the start, with no visitors in frame.
Consultations at the monitor with architects, contractors and clients — no flash.
20-second sequences navigating the model, combined with your own screen recording on request.
A post with your stand while the show is still running gets seen and shared. That is why every package includes finished photos and video within 24 hours after the event ends — first images usually the same day. Two revision rounds included.
