We are building a network of freelance photographers, videographers, editors and drone pilots for trade fairs and events in every German exhibition city and across Europe. Pixer is a photo and video studio located directly at Messe Essen in Germany. We photograph and film exhibitors at trade fairs across Germany, Europe and the Gulf and deliver photos and video within 24 hours after the show ends. Demand comes from every exhibition city at once, often on the same day. That is why we work with freelance photographers and videographers on location who know an exhibition hall and can be at a stand (booth) with their own equipment within an hour or two.
The process is always the same. You register once with your base city, travel radius, roles, equipment and portfolio. As soon as an exhibitor books a show day in your region, we check your availability by WhatsApp or e-mail. You receive a briefing with hall plan, stand number, contact person on the stand, shot list and schedule. On site you photograph and film to that list: stand architecture before the doors open, team, products, conversations with visitors, short statements. You hand over the raw material the same day via our upload link. Editing, retouching, client communication and delivery are handled by Pixer.
You are paid per show day against your invoice, normally within 14 days of handing over the material. Travel within your city is included in the day rate, longer trips and hotel nights are agreed in advance. On the stand you appear as part of the Pixer team, client contact before and after the show day runs through us.
Photographers and videographers: experience at trade fairs or corporate events, confidence with mixed light in exhibition halls, a full-frame body with fast lenses, for video a gimbal or other stabilisation, a wireless microphone for interviews and enough storage for a full show day. More important than the gear is the manner: friendly, discreet, never interrupting a sales conversation. And reliability, because the exhibitor has only this one day.
Editors and retouchers: you work remotely. We send raw footage and the Pixer template, you deliver a 20 to 30-second highlight, vertical clips and a photo selection with base corrections within a few hours. Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, Lightroom or Capture One. Being able to work evenings and weekends is an advantage, because show days rarely end in office hours.
What you get: plannable day assignments without doing your own sales, a clear briefing instead of vague wishes, fixed contacts, punctual payment and the chance to grow with us into new cities and countries. Freelancers who deliver several assignments cleanly are asked first and get the larger productions, such as multi-day shows or multi-camera recordings.

Stages, talks and product presentations with several cameras and audio. Experience with ATEM or comparable systems.
Exhibitors book stand photography, a highlight video and vertical clips for LinkedIn and Instagram, delivered within 24 hours. On site you shoot to our shot list, the edit is done remotely by our team.

Yes. We commission against invoice only, as a freelancer, sole trader or through your own company, in Germany or any other country.
We agree a day rate per show day depending on experience, role and city. You state your day rate when registering, and we tell you openly what is possible for each assignment.
Pixer. Quote, briefing, questions and delivery run through us. On the stand you are the face of the team and of course talk to the client.
Usage rights to the commissioned material pass to Pixer and the end client. After approval you may show selected work as a reference in your portfolio.
The same day, in the evening at the latest, via our upload link. Our promise to the client is delivery within 24 hours.
