BAU is the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems: in 2025 it drew 2,230 exhibitors from 58 countries and more than 180,000 visitors, with the grounds fully booked. On show are facades, windows, roofs, floors, insulation and hardware — heavy, large and made of materials whose quality shows in the texture. We photograph and film your stand so architects and the trade can work with it for two years.

A facade panel, a brick, a timber slat or an insulation board differs from the competition in its surface — and surface needs side light. Under frontal hall lighting every sample wall turns into a flat plane. We use raking light so structure, joint and edge finish become visible, and photograph large-format sample walls with shift perspective so edges stay straight and proportions hold.
Windows and doors show their quality in cross-section: profile build-up, sealing levels, hardware. We photograph these cutaway models as detail shots with legible labels. Glass and metal profiles get polarising filters and controlled reflections — the material your sales team puts into tender documents.
Much at BAU moves: sliding elements, ventilation systems, sun shading, door closers. A 15-second clip of a lift-and-slide door gliding open silently explains more than any data sheet. We film function demos from a tripod with steady camera work, plus a 30-second highlight of the stand for LinkedIn.
More than half of BAU exhibitors come from abroad — Italy, China, Turkey, Austria, Poland. Briefing, interviews and the whole engagement run in English; we invoice as a German GmbH with VAT ID. Short statements from your head of sales or an architect who has specified your product are delivered with subtitles in both languages.
Monday is opening day with full aisles, Tuesday to Thursday are the strongest days for conversations, Friday is quieter. We recommend a four-hour package on Tuesday or Wednesday: from 8:30 the hour before opening for sample walls and stand architecture without visitors, then conversations, demos and interviews. Large stands with several product areas book the full show day.
BAU is held only every two years. The material from January 2027 carries you through to the next edition in 2029 — and because we take on no more than four exhibitors per show day, the Tuesday-to-Thursday windows go early.
