Hardly any show has as much handwork on the stands as denkmal: plasterers run mouldings, stonemasons work with chisel and mallet, glass painters lead panes, gilders lay gold leaf. We photograph this work close and with short exposures — hands and tools sharp, dust and shavings visible, surface in focus. We work without flash and at a distance so the craftsperson is not interrupted and visitors on the stand are not disturbed.
For material manufacturers — lime plasters, pigments, insulation, historic bricks, sheet metal — the challenge is different: texture and colour have to be right. We photograph sample surfaces with raking light and a grey card so grain and colour match what the restorer will later see on site.
Restorers and craft businesses often show before-and-after examples and reference objects on the stand. We combine these with shots of your specialists in conversation and with a short video explaining one work step — 40 seconds, audio via radio mic, detail shots cut in. Clips like this work on your website, in tender documents and in recruiting young talent.
If you give a talk in the conference programme or exhibit in the earth building or archaeology area, we photograph speaker, exhibits and audience from several positions.
Thursday is the day of heritage authorities, planners and institutions — the longest technical conversations and the most appointments. Friday brings restorers and craft businesses, Saturday additionally owners of historic buildings and interested visitors from the region. For stand and material shots we recommend the hour before opening on Thursday, for craft demonstrations Friday or Saturday when work is being done on the stand.
Since denkmal is held only every two years, the material stays current until 2028. Images are delivered within 24 hours, the video on the evening of the shoot.

Yes. We work without flash, at a distance and with a telephoto lens; the craftsperson wears a radio mic if needed. The workflow stays unchanged.
We photograph sample surfaces with a grey card and our own light and match white balance in post. Grain is made visible with raking light.
Yes. MUTEC runs in parallel on Thursday and Friday on the same grounds. Exhibitors at both shows are covered on the same day without surcharge.
Yes. Interviews, briefing and the entire engagement run in English — a large share of our trade fair clients come from outside Germany. Invoices with VAT ID for EU companies, no German VAT for companies outside the EU.
