gamescom is the darkest show of the year. The halls are dimmed so LED walls, screens and stand lighting can work — for a camera that means extreme contrast between glowing wall and black aisles, colour casts of magenta and cyan, moving images on every screen. We work with fast lenses and no flash, expose for the stand lighting and capture screens in sync with the refresh rate so they appear sharp rather than striped. Your stand looks in the picture the way the lighting design intended.
Hardware exhibitors with gaming PCs, peripherals and chairs additionally get a product station with our own light: RGB lighting visible, cases and surfaces still legible.
What a publisher needs from gamescom is proof that the game draws a crowd: the queue in front of the demo stations, the full amphitheatre in front of the stage, cosplayers in front of the key art, reactions at the screens. These images are made on the public days, above all on Saturday. We photograph from a raised position with a wide angle to show the crowd, and close up to capture faces and reactions.
Stage programme, developer talks and signing sessions are filmed from two positions, with audio from the mixing desk on request. Short interviews with community managers, developers or streamers are conducted with a radio mic in German or English — with subtitles, because hall noise otherwise drowns the audio.
Both, for different reasons. Wednesday is trade and media day: empty aisles, open stands, time for stand overviews, product stations and interviews with press and partners. From Thursday the halls fill up, and on Saturday gamescom is packed — the day for queues, crowd and atmosphere. If you need both, book a full day on Wednesday and two to four hours on Saturday.
Highlight video and first images are delivered on the evening of the shoot day. For international publishers and studios, briefing, engagement and interviews run in English.
Fast lenses without flash, exposed for your lighting design — LED walls and screens sharp and true to colour.
Waiting lines, full amphitheatre and reactions at the demo stations from a raised position and close up.
Cosplayers in front of your key art, meet-and-greets and signing sessions in available light.
Architecture and lighting design on trade day or before opening, with no visitors in frame.
Statements from developers, community managers and streamers with radio mics, delivered with subtitles.
30-second recap and vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram and X, cut on the show day.
A post with your stand while the show is still running gets seen and shared. That is why every package includes finished photos and video within 24 hours after the event ends — first images usually the same day. Two revision rounds included.
A sample from our production: the event recap for your website and LinkedIn — below it, native 9:16 footage for Reels, Shorts and Stories, shot in parallel with the main coverage.

Yes, and flash would be wrong because it destroys your lighting design. We work with fast lenses, expose for the stand lighting and sync to the screens so they stay sharp.
