Messe München in Riem has 18 ground-level halls in three rows, A1 to A6, B0 to B6 and C1 to C6, all column-free with large glazed areas. For video this matters: daylight enters the halls and its colour shifts during the day. A recap that cuts morning and afternoon scenes together only looks like one piece if white balance is set for each shooting block and the footage is matched in the edit. That is how we work.
Distances are long. Walking from a stand in the A row to a meeting in the C row takes a while, so we record interviews on your stand, in a quiet corner with lavalier microphones, instead of sending speakers across the grounds. Talks, panels and press conferences in the ICM or the Conference Center Nord go into the day plan as fixed slots, so your stand is covered in between.
According to the Messe München information sheet, filming on your own stand area is allowed without a separate permit during exhibitor opening hours and during the official build-up and dismantling times. Drones are prohibited on the whole site, so for overviews we use raised camera positions on your stand and slow gimbal moves.
At EXPO REAL in October, meetings, panels and stand receptions matter more than exhibits, so interviews and a film that shows people in conversation carry the story. At electronica and SEMICON Europa in November the products are small: components, boards, demos on screens. We film with macro lenses and match the frame rate to monitors and LED walls so nothing flickers.
BAU in January shows building materials and architecture on large stands, and a slow gimbal move through the stand explains the space better than any still. transport logistic and air cargo Europe in April, automatica and LASER World of PHOTONICS in June are about motion: robots, conveyors, lasers at work. IAA MOBILITY follows in September 2027, productronica in November 2027.
Because the official build-up times are open for filming, Munich offers one extra: a short time-lapse of your stand going up, which works inside the recap or as a teaser clip before the doors open.
Before visitors are let in, we film the empty stand, graphics, exhibits and the shots for your vertical clip. From late morning, when the halls fill up, we move to conversations and demos, filmed from the edge of your stand without blocking the aisle. In a quieter phase we record interviews in English, German, Arabic or Farsi.
Our editing team works in parallel with the shoot. Recap, film and clips arrive within 24 hours after the show day ends, first photos usually the same day, with two revision rounds and unlimited usage rights. If you fly in for the show, the material is ready before your flight home, and non-EU companies are invoiced without German VAT.
