In 2024 around 1,640 exhibitors from 40 countries and 36,700 visitors from 86 countries came to Lake Constance. At Fakuma the machines run: injection moulding machines cycle in a few seconds, robots remove parts, extruders pull profiles, thermoforming lines index. A stand photo of a stationary machine shows none of that. We shoot with the safety door open or through the window with a polariser, choose shutter speeds that show the removal robot sharp or in motion, and add control, clamping unit and mould in detail. For moulded parts we set up a tabletop with our own light on the stand — transparent and coloured plastics we photograph with backlight so wall thickness, gloss level and colour stay readable.
Tool and mould makers get their tools photographed open and closed, with raking light on cavities and hot runner, in series across the whole stand display.
The video that works at a plastics show shows a complete cycle: close, inject, open, remove, place — 40 to 60 seconds from two angles, with detail shots and an explanation by your application engineer via radio mic, subtitled in English. This clip replaces the stand visit for customers in Asia and North America who do not travel to Friedrichshafen.
Material and masterbatch manufacturers get granulate, colour samples and sample parts in series instead; automation suppliers the robot with motion blur where it explains the sequence.
The first two show days bring the most delegations and technical conversations with processors and buyers; the third day is the day of the longest conversations. For machine and stand shots we use the hour before opening on the first or second day, when your demonstrator can run the machine for us. The final days are quieter and suit team portraits and interviews.
Images are delivered within 24 hours, the process video on the evening of the shoot — your sales team sends it to customers while the show is still on.

Yes. We agree a time window with your demonstrator, usually before opening, and film from two angles with detail shots. The cycle stays unchanged, we work without additional light inside the machine.
With backlight on a tabletop with our own light and a neutral background. Wall thickness, sink marks and gloss level become visible, colours stay true.
We travel the day before and stay overnight locally. Travel and accommodation are stated separately and transparently in the quote, the package itself stays at the fixed price.
Yes. Interviews, briefing and the entire engagement run in English — a large share of our trade fair clients come from outside Germany. Invoices with VAT ID for EU companies, no German VAT for companies outside the EU.
