AERO is the show of general aviation: gliders, ultralights, piston aircraft, helicopters, business jets, avionics and accessories — in 2026 with 860 exhibitors from 50 countries and around 37,000 visitors, half of them pilots. An aircraft is the largest and glossiest exhibit a trade fair knows. We photograph it in the hall and in the static display so paint, lines and cockpit are right.

Photographing an aircraft in a hall means rendering a very large, very glossy object cleanly from very little distance. High-gloss paint reflects the hall ceiling and neighbouring stands, canopies and windscreens throw highlights, and from five metres away every wide-angle lens distorts the lines. We work with a polariser, choose positions at the height of the wing leading edge and photograph the aircraft in a fixed series: three-quarter front, side, tail, cockpit, details such as propeller, landing gear and engine. This series matches the images your customers know from brochure and website.
Avionics and cockpits we photograph switched on with an adjusted shutter speed so displays stay legible and instruments do not blow out. Helicopters and business jets get the cabin as a space: seats, materials, lighting mood.
In the static display in front of the A halls the aircraft stand under the open sky — in April weather at Lake Constance with changing light. We plan outdoor shots for early morning or late afternoon, when the light is low and the paint does not blow out, and shoot from the ground with tripod and telephoto lens. In the hall we film a stabilised walk-around of the aircraft with a look into the cockpit, 30 to 40 seconds, with an explanation by your sales director via radio mic — the clip prospects ask for after the show.
If you speak in the conference programme or the Business Aviation Show Hub, we cover stage and audience from two positions. Flight schools and maintenance organisations get team and consultations on the stand, without flash.
Wednesday and Thursday are the days of dealers, fleet operators, flight schools and business aviation — the longest technical conversations and the most appointments. Friday is mixed; Saturday is the day of private pilots and families with the fullest aisles and the longest queues at the cockpits. For aircraft and stand shots we recommend the hour before opening on Wednesday or Thursday, for outdoor shots in the static display the early morning. If you want to show atmosphere and crowds, book Saturday.
Images are delivered within 24 hours, the walk-around clip on the evening of the shoot — your follow-up email goes out before prospects are back home.
