Glass is the hardest material on any show floor: it reflects everything around it and disappears entirely in a bad photograph. We shoot your products and machinery so that what matters is actually visible.

glasstec centres on two materials that both have a reputation for being difficult: glass and polished metal. Both reflect — and in an exhibition hall what they reflect is the ceiling rig, the neighbouring stands, the barriers and the photographer.
The difference between a usable and an unusable glass photograph comes almost entirely from where the camera stands and what is behind the photographer. So we work with polarising filters, controlled angles, and wherever possible a darkened surface opposite the subject. For transparent products we add a portable light to define the edges, so the shape becomes readable at all.
With machinery there is a further point: the interesting detail is often inside. We plan in advance which covers and hatches can be opened for the shot and when that is possible without disrupting the show — usually before the doors open.
For machine builders, moving image is usually worth more at glasstec than photography. A line that cuts, edges or coats glass is more convincing in fifteen seconds of video than in ten stills.
We film demonstrations at a high frame rate so individual steps can be shown in slow motion, and cut both a short social clip and longer sequences you can use in sales and on your website.
The key is coordinating the demonstration schedule: if your line only runs at set times, we build our window around that.
glasstec only takes place every two years. That means the material produced here stays your most current trade fair content for two full years — this is not the show to book the smallest package.
In practice: plan at least one full day, ideally photo and video combined. The clean product and machinery shots happen before opening; the demonstrations and conversations follow.
glasstec 2026 occupies halls 10 to 17 and the open-air area at Messe Düsseldorf. These times and programme points help you plan photo and video around the show.
Visitors are admitted daily from 9:00 to 18:00, while exhibitors have access from 7:30 according to the organiser. Those ninety minutes are the window for glass shots without visitors reflected in your product.
Entrances are North A (downstairs), North B (first floor) and East. We check your hall against the hall plan in advance, so the kit reaches your stand before opening without a detour.
The special show in Hall 11 (stand 11C28) is run with technical universities from Darmstadt, Delft, Dresden and Bochum. Guided tours start daily at 10:30 and 14:00 in German and English, giving predictable moments with an audience at the exhibits.
On Thursday 22 October the architecture forum runs from 12:45 on Stage 3 in Hall 11. For façade and architectural glass suppliers it is a good reason to bring a speaker or project partner to the stand for a short interview.
In Hall 10, Handwerk Live on Stage 2 shows glass processing demonstrations on all four days. Presentations are in German without interpreting, so for international teams the pictures matter more than the sound.

Yes. We work with polarising filters, controlled camera positions and defined edge lighting. Where possible we darken the surface opposite the subject so the hall and neighbouring stands do not appear in your product.
The clean shots before the doors open, when covers can be opened and we can move freely around the line. Demonstrations are filmed during show hours, following your demo schedule.
Yes. The material stays your most current trade fair content for two years. A full day of photo and video costs a fraction of the stand budget and supplies two years of marketing.
