MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND is the season opener of the motorcycle world in North Rhine-Westphalia: around 300 exhibitors and about 25 two-wheeler brands across five halls, with around 102,000 visitors in 2026. Motorcycles, scooters, accessories, clothing, travel and service — four days on which riders choose the bike for the summer. Chrome, paint and black engineering are the subject, and all three reflect the hall lighting.

A motorcycle is a compact object made of three surfaces that do not get along: chrome exhausts and forks, high-gloss tank paint and matt black engines, tyres and frames. Under hall lighting chrome becomes a mirror of the stand, the paint shows every ceiling light, and the engine disappears as a black shape. We photograph with a polarising filter and our own light from the side that gives the engine contour, choose positions where reflections on tank and exhaust sit under control, and photograph every bike in a fixed sequence: side, three-quarter front, cockpit, engine, details.
Clothing, helmets and accessories are photographed on the form and worn — helmets are painted spheres and need the same polarising setup as the tank. For accessory manufacturers we work with a table rig in series so the images match in the online shop.
MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND is less a product showcase than a season opener. The pictures that carry this mood are made when visitors sit on the bike, grip the bars, talk to the dealer about financing. We photograph these moments without flash and film walkarounds of the bike on a gimbal — calm sequences that become vertical clips for Instagram and YouTube Shorts, the platforms where motorcyclists do their research. Statements from your dealer team or brand ambassador are recorded with radio mics.
Thursday is the quietest day: bikes stand clean, aisles are clear, time for the fixed sequence of every bike with our own light. Saturday is the strongest day with full halls — the pictures of test sitting, consultation and proof that your brand pulls a crowd. A four-hour package on Thursday covers bikes and stand; a full Saturday with bike shots in the hour before opening covers product and crowds in one day. Highlight video and first images are delivered on the evening of the shoot day.
Fixed sequence per motorcycle with polarising filter and side light — chrome, paint and engine with contour.
Helmets exposed like tanks, clothing on the form and worn, accessories in series.
Gimbal walkaround of the bike, vertical clips for Instagram and YouTube Shorts the same day.
Architecture and bikes before the doors open, with no visitors in frame.
Visitors on the bike, dealers in conversation — the mood of the season start.
Statements from dealer team and brand ambassadors with radio mics, subtitled.
A post with your stand while the show is still running gets seen and shared. That is why every package includes finished photos and video within 24 hours after the event ends — first images usually the same day. Two revision rounds included.

Yes. We work with a polarising filter and our own side light and choose positions where reflections sit under control on tank and exhaust. The engine gains contour instead of disappearing as a black shape.
In the fixed sequence — side, three-quarter, cockpit, engine, details — about ten to twelve bikes plus stand overviews. For larger stand fleets we plan the full day.
Thursday for quiet bike shots, Saturday for full halls. A full Saturday with bike shots before opening covers both.
Yes. Interviews, briefing and the entire engagement run in English — a large share of our trade fair clients come from outside Germany. Invoices with VAT ID for EU companies, no German VAT for companies outside the EU.
