METEC is the international metallurgy trade fair with congresses: steelworks and rolling mill technology, continuous casting, electric arc furnaces, direct reduction and everything the steel industry needs on its way to climate neutrality. Only every four years in Düsseldorf. We photograph plant models, components and congress appearances so your sales team can use them until 2031.

Hardly any METEC exhibitor brings the product along: a continuous caster or a rolling stand does not fit in hall 5. What is shown are models, individual components, sectioned samples, screens with process data and large-format graphics. That is exactly the photographic task: lighting models so they look like plant and not like toys; showing steel and copper components with a polarising filter and directed light so machining and precision become visible; capturing displays without moiré and reflections.
For stand architecture with large walls and illuminated graphics we shoot with a wide angle from a slightly raised position before opening — the images your marketing later uses to show how the company presents itself.
METEC is closely tied to the congresses of the steel industry, and for many exhibitors the talk by the chief technology officer matters as much as the stand. We photograph speaker and audience from several positions and film the talk in full on request with audio from the mixing desk. The recording goes to customers and partners, short vertical quotes go to LinkedIn.
On the stand come the conversations with plant managers and buyers from around the world. We photograph them in available light without flash and conduct short interviews in English — the steel industry travels internationally, and subtitles make the clips usable everywhere.
Technical conversations cluster on Monday and Tuesday, partly because many delegations start their week with appointments on the first days. We recommend a full day on Monday or Tuesday with stand overviews before opening, then conversations, congress slot and interviews. Thursday or Friday suit team portraits and additions in a calmer setting. If you also exhibit at GIFA, THERMPROCESS or NEWCAST, you are covered on the same day without surcharge.
The next METEC is not until 2031. The material from this week is therefore not social media consumable but the basis for four years of website, reference folders and trade fair preparation.
Plant models lit so they look like the original — with wide angle and directed light.
Rolls, moulds, nozzles and sensors in steel and copper with polarising filter — machining and precision visible.
Process screens and illuminated walls without moiré or reflections, taken before opening.
Architecture and lighting before the doors open, with no visitors in frame.
Statements from board members, engineers and international customers with radio mics, with subtitles.
Speaker and audience from several positions, the talk filmed in full with desk audio on request.
A post with your stand while the show is still running gets seen and shared. That is why every package includes finished photos and video within 24 hours after the event ends — first images usually the same day. Two revision rounds included.
A sample from our production: the event recap for your website and LinkedIn — below it, native 9:16 footage for Reels, Shorts and Stories, shot in parallel with the main coverage.

Yes, especially then. Models need light that makes them look like plant, and screens can only be captured without moiré with adjusted exposure. Add conversations, team and the congress appearance.
