Italian companies form one of the largest foreign exhibitor groups at German fairs, and the traffic runs the other way too: exporters from China, the Gulf, Turkey and the United States who show at MEDICA or interpack in Düsseldorf are in Milan for HOST or Salone del Mobile and in Bologna for Cersaie in the same year. One crew for both sides of the Alps gives you one shot list, one colour grade and one contact instead of a new local photographer at every show.
Milan Linate and Malpensa are about an hour and twenty minutes from Düsseldorf, Bologna an hour and a half, Rome two hours. Inside Italy the high-speed line does the rest: Milan to Bologna in an hour, Milan to Verona in an hour and a quarter, Bologna to Rimini in about an hour. We fly in the evening before your first show day, and flight, hotel and local transport appear as one figure on the quote, shared with any other exhibitor booked for the same show week. Over two or three days that figure is a small share of the total.
Italian and other EU companies with a VAT ID receive a reverse-charge invoice without German VAT; companies outside the EU are invoiced net. The packages are €990, €1,490 and €1,990 plus VAT, the same as in Germany. Organisers and stand teams at the international shows work with us in English.
Fiera Milano Rho is the largest venue in Italy, at the Rho Fiera terminus of Metro line M1 north-west of the city and on the suburban rail line from Milano Centrale. Salone del Mobile in April, HOST in odd-year Octobers and EICMA, the motorcycle show, in November are its best-known weeks. The halls are long and high with a glass canopy along the central axis, and the aisles between them are as much a part of the picture as the halls.
BolognaFiere, in the north of Bologna, hosts Cersaie, the ceramic tile show, in September, Cosmoprof in March, EIMA, the agricultural machinery fair, in even-year Novembers and the Bologna Children's Book Fair in spring. Veronafiere, a short ride from Verona Porta Nuova, is home to Vinitaly in April, Marmomac in September and Fieracavalli in November.
The Fiera di Rimini, with its own station on the Bologna line, opens the year with SIGEP in January and hosts Ecomondo in November. Fiera Roma lies between the city and Fiumicino on the FL1 line. Photo rules follow the German pattern: your own stand (booth), staff and products may be photographed freely, visitors in close-up are asked first.
