Exhibitors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain often come to German fairs with a broader mandate than selling a product. Many also promote a destination, an investment location, a logistics hub or a national industrial strategy. The table shows German shows for the sectors in which Gulf companies and institutions are typically active.
| Sector | Fair | City |
|---|---|---|
| Tourism, destinations, hotel groups | ITB Berlin | Berlin |
| Real estate, investment, urban development | EXPO REAL | Munich |
| Aluminium and metals | ALUMINIUM | Düsseldorf |
| Energy, water, utilities | E-world energy & water | Essen |
| Hydrogen and low-carbon energy | Hydrogen Technology World Expo | Hamburg |
| Ports, logistics, freight | transport logistic | Munich |
| Air cargo and airport logistics | air cargo Europe | Munich |
| Food and beverages | Anuga | Cologne |
| Tobacco and vaping products | InterTabac | Dortmund |
E-world takes place at Messe Essen, where our office is 30 seconds from the entrance. We covered InterTabac 2026 in Dortmund and have worked at Dubai World Trade Centre, including World Vape Show for YOOZ. Dates change from year to year; our trade fair calendar lists the next editions.
On Gulf stands, the most important pictures are often taken during visits rather than sales conversations: a minister, an ambassador, a chief executive or a delegation touring the hall. These moments are short, often announced at short notice and rarely repeated.
The first pictures of a visit are often needed on the same day, for official channels or a press release at home. We send a first selection of visit photos the same day, so your communications team can publish while the news is current.
For Gulf exhibitors, Arabic is where we can add the most. Pixer conducts interviews and writes subtitles in Arabic as well as in English, German and Persian. Colleagues who prefer to read in Arabic will find our services described on our Arabic page. In practice this means:
Arabic subtitles are commonly written in Modern Standard Arabic, even when the speaker uses a Gulf dialect, because they read correctly across the region. Tell us which style you prefer, and have someone from your team read the final version. More in our guide to multilingual subtitles.
Germany is two hours behind the UAE and Oman in summer and three hours behind in winter. For Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain the difference is one hour in summer and two in winter. A photo sent at 5 pm in Düsseldorf in summer arrives at 7 pm in Dubai. Plan posting times with that in mind.
Two further points affect the timing:
Formats that work for Gulf audiences: vertical clips for Instagram and Snapchat, photos and short videos for X and LinkedIn, and material that partners and stakeholders can share by WhatsApp. Official visits often go out first as a photo set with a short text in Arabic and English. The edited video follows within 24 hours after the show ends.
All Gulf states are outside the EU. If your company in the Gulf books, our invoice is issued without German VAT. Our prices are fixed: Trade Fair Basic €990, Professional €1,490 and Full Day €1,990.
Government-related entities and large groups often need more than an invoice:
If a pavilion organiser or event agency books for you, clarify who our client is and who approves the material. Usage rights are unlimited, so photos and videos can go to official channels, partners and the press without further fees.
Gulf companies often exhibit at home as well as in Germany. We work at both ends: at German venues and at Dubai World Trade Centre. For shows in the Gulf, travel and accommodation are quoted per trip and shared between exhibitors of the same show. One crew for both shows keeps the look of your photos and videos consistent from one event to the next.
The differences between the two settings are larger than they seem: stand construction, opening hours, visitor behaviour and the role of hospitality on the stand. Our guide to exhibiting in Dubai vs Germany compares them, and our Dubai page lists the shows we cover there.
ITB, EXPO REAL, ALUMINIUM, E-world, transport logistic, InterTabac: match the show to your mandate.
Minister, ambassador or CEO: keep a photographer on standby and agree the order of precedence.
