Photo & video for ALUMINIUM 2026 in Düsseldorf

Brushed, anodised or polished aluminium reflects the entire hall — in a bad photograph a precision profile turns into a grey surface. We shoot your profiles, sheet, castings and plants so that surface, edge and precision are actually visible. English-speaking crew, fixed price, delivered before you fly home.

Photographing aluminium properly

ALUMINIUM centres on one material that looks different in every finish: rolled sheet, extruded profiles, castings, anodised and coated surfaces. All of them reflect — and in an exhibition hall what they reflect is the ceiling rig, the neighbouring stands, the barriers and the photographer.

The difference between a usable and an unusable metal photograph comes almost entirely from where the camera stands and what is behind the photographer. So we work with polarising filters, controlled angles and large soft light sources that reflect evenly in the surface. Brushed textures and anodised colours need raking light — only then do you see texture instead of grey.

With extrusion presses, saws, machining centres and casting lines the interesting detail is often inside or in the running process. We plan in advance which covers can be opened and when that is possible without disrupting the show — usually before the doors open.

Filming machinery in motion

For plant and machine builders, moving image is usually worth more at ALUMINIUM than photography. A line that saws profiles, levels sheet or coats surfaces is more convincing in fifteen seconds of video than in ten stills.

We film demonstrations at a high frame rate so individual steps can be shown in slow motion, and cut both a short social clip and longer sequences you can use in sales and on your website.

The key is coordinating the demonstration schedule: if your line only runs at set times, we build our window around that.

Worth knowing before you book

ALUMINIUM only takes place every two years. That means the material produced here stays your most current trade fair content for two full years — this is not the show to book the smallest package. For exhibitors travelling from abroad: we work in English, travel is included, and delivery comes as a download link before you land back home.

In practice: plan at least one full day, ideally photo and video combined. The clean product and plant shots happen before opening; the demonstrations and buyer conversations follow.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a photographer at ALUMINIUM 2026 cost?

From €990 excluding VAT for two hours on site. For ALUMINIUM we recommend the combined photo and video package from €1,490, or a full day from €1,990, because plant demonstrations work considerably better as moving image.

Can you handle reflective aluminium?

Yes. We work with polarising filters, controlled camera positions and large soft light sources that reflect evenly in the surface. Brushed and anodised finishes get raking light so texture and colour stay visible.

When should the machinery shots be taken?

The clean shots before the doors open, when covers can be opened and we can move freely around the line. Demonstrations are filmed during show hours, following your demo schedule.

ALUMINIUM is only every two years — is more coverage worth it?

Yes. The material stays your most current trade fair content for two years. A full day of photo and video costs a fraction of the stand budget and supplies two years of marketing.

Do you work in English?

Yes — ALUMINIUM has a strongly international audience; many exhibitors come from the Gulf, Türkiye, India and China. We also answer enquiries in Arabic. Interviews and the entire engagement can run in English.
