At a trade fair, your product, team, management and customers are in one place. With a crew there anyway, footage for your company film can be shot at the same time. Here is how to plan two films from one trip without either suffering.

A company film needs a lot to come together on one shoot day: the product set up and clean, management with time to spare, a team in company clothing, ideally a customer willing to say something. At a trade fair, all of that is there anyway.
Then there is the crew. If the film team is already on site for the show video, extra scenes for the company film need no separate travel day. At Pixer, the same crew works at trade fairs and on corporate films, so the two can be combined: one day on your stand (booth) delivers the footage for the recap and scenes for the image film.
This matters most for exhibitors who fly in. Your German subsidiary, a customer in the region or your European team can be filmed the day before or after the show, while management is in the country anyway. One trip, two films, and a single crew that already knows your product.
| Subject | On the stand | At your company |
|---|---|---|
| Product and demonstration | Good | Good |
| Management interview | Good, in the stand’s meeting room | Good |
| Customer statements | Good, customers are there | Only with a separate appointment |
| Team talking to customers | Good | Limited |
| Production, warehouse, workshop | Not possible | Good |
| Longer, calm interviews | Limited by hall noise | Good |
A company film made only of show footage quickly looks like a second show video. Decide what comes from the stand and what comes from the company: people, product and customers from the show; place and way of working from your site.
Watch the background too. Banners with the year, hall signs, other brands’ logos and neighbouring stands date a company film quickly. The rules for filming in the hall are in the organiser’s exhibitor manual.
The most common mistake is to mix both films into one shot list. The crew then films show content and hopes the company film happens along the way. Two separate lists with clear time slots work better:
Decide for each interview which film it is for. A statement for the show video is short and current (“What are you showing this year?”); an interview for the company film is fundamental and timeless (“What does your company stand for?”). More on scheduling in our guide to the photo and video schedule on show day.
At Pixer both parts are quoted on the basis of fixed packages, all plus VAT:
One possible combination: Trade Fair Full Day on the stand plus Corporate Basic as half a shoot day at your German site. Travel within North Rhine-Westphalia (Düsseldorf, Essen, Cologne, Dortmund) is included; for shows in other cities, travel is quoted once per trip. Non-EU companies are invoiced without German VAT, and EU companies with a VAT ID under reverse charge.
The two films run at different speeds, and that is a good thing. The show video has to be fast: photos and video arrive within 24 hours after the show ends, first images usually the same day, so you can post during the show or before you fly home. The company film can mature: it is edited after the last shoot day and delivered in five, seven or ten working days, depending on the package.
Plan approvals accordingly. For the show video, one person decides quickly; for the company film, management and marketing often both review the cut. Revision rounds are fixed per package: two for the trade fair packages and Corporate Basic, three for Corporate Professional and Premium. Usage rights are unlimited for both, so show footage can stay in the company film for good.
Product, team, management and customers are at the show anyway.
Plan the show video and the company film separately, with their own slots and interview questions.
Build-up day or the first hour for clean shots, the morning for interviews.
Production, offices and everyday work come from half a day at your company.
Show video within 24 hours, company film in five to ten working days depending on the package.
Keep years, hall signs and other brands’ logos out of the company-film scenes.
For a short company film built on people and product, yes. If the film should also show production, offices or the plant, add half a day or a full day at your company.
Both parts are quoted on the basis of fixed packages, for example Trade Fair Full Day at €1,990 and Corporate Basic at €1,990, both plus VAT. Travel within North Rhine-Westphalia is included.
Filming on your own stand is common practice, but the exact rules are in the organiser’s exhibitor manual. Check there too whether you may film during build-up.
Yes. It combines well, because management and team are in the country anyway. Non-EU companies receive an invoice without German VAT.
The show content first, within 24 hours after the show ends. The company film follows after the last shoot day, in five, seven or ten working days depending on the package.
Usage rights are unlimited. For people on camera, especially customers, the consent should explicitly cover long-term use in the company film.
Tell us the show, the dates and what the company film should show. You receive a fixed quote for both parts within 24 hours.
