InnoTrans has two faces. Outside, locomotives, multiple units and trams stand on 3,500 metres of track — 20 metres long, painted, glazed, often right next to a competitor's vehicle. We photograph vehicles in daylight with an eye on weather and sun position, from angles that emphasise the front and hide the neighbouring tracks, and with detail shots of bogie, coupler, driver's cab and passenger compartment.
Inside, suppliers show brakes, pantographs, door systems, seats, signalling and software. Much of it is black, galvanised or behind glass. We work with our own light so assemblies stay readable as shapes, displays do not burn out and type plates are legible — the material for tender documents and sales presentations.
In the Interiors segment atmosphere decides: seats, lighting, passenger information, accessibility. We photograph passenger compartments with a wide angle and no converging lines and film walk-throughs on a gimbal so operators experience the space before boarding. Lighting comes from the vehicle itself, supplemented by a little of our own so colour and materials are right.
At InnoTrans you meet buyers from railways and transport operators from more than 100 countries. Short statements from your customers and sales team, recorded with radio mics on the stand and subtitled, are sales material for the two years until the next edition. Briefing and interviews run in German or English.
The first two days bring the most delegations and the vehicle presentations. We recommend a four-hour package on Tuesday or Wednesday: the hour before opening for clean stand and vehicle shots without visitors, then conversations, demonstrations and interviews. If you have a vehicle outdoors and a stand in the hall, plan a full day with outdoor shots around midday.
InnoTrans takes place only every two years. The material from September 2026 carries your sales team through to 2028.
