A treatment unit is painted white, its arms and instrument holders are chrome-plated, and next to it stands a monitor with the 3D model of a jaw. Under hall lighting this trio becomes blown-out white, a mirror and a glowing patch. We expose for the texture of the white surfaces, use a polarising filter against the chrome and match shutter speed and position so the screen stays legible. Small instruments, implants, burs and tips are photographed with a portable macro rig right on the stand — ranges in the same light so they match in catalogue and online shop.
For laboratory technology — milling machines, sintering furnaces, 3D printers — the rule is: we show the device in operation with the finished piece in hand, so size and result make sense in one picture.
IDS lives on demonstrations: scanner on the phantom head, milling behind glass, software on the big screen. We film these demos at high frame rate and from two positions — hands and device close, audience and stand wide — and cut 30-second clips for LinkedIn and Instagram plus longer workflow sequences your sales team uses in training and on the website. Screen recordings you provide are cut in so the software appears sharp.
Almost two thirds of exhibitors come from abroad. Briefing, interviews and invoice run in English; without German VAT for companies outside the EU.
Tuesday is traditionally dental dealer day, Wednesday and Thursday are the strongest days for dentists and technicians, Saturday is quieter. We recommend stand and device shots in the hour before opening on Tuesday or Wednesday, followed by demos, conversations and interviews. A four-hour package covers that; if you show several devices and demos, book the full day. Because IDS takes place only every two years, we focus on shots that last until 2029: devices, workflows, team and statements without date references.
