The Dutch border at Venlo or Emmerich is under an hour from Essen. MECC Maastricht is about ninety minutes by car, Jaarbeurs Utrecht two hours, RAI Amsterdam and Rotterdam Ahoy a little over two. For a single show day that means no flights and no hotel: we load the car in the morning and are on your stand before the doors open. For two- or three-day shows we stay near the venue, and the travel line remains a small share of the total.
Most exhibitors who ask us for Amsterdam or Utrecht are not Dutch. They come from China, the Gulf, Turkey or the United States, their European season also runs through Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, and they want one crew and one look across the year. We have produced for exhibitors in the Netherlands and know how the venues handle photography: your own stand (booth), staff and products may be photographed freely, neighbouring stands appear only in wide shots, and visitors in close-up are asked first.
Dutch and other EU companies with a VAT ID receive a reverse-charge invoice without German VAT; companies outside the EU are invoiced net. The packages are €990, €1,490 and €1,990 plus VAT, the same as in Germany.
RAI Amsterdam sits on the southern ring road with its own railway station, fifteen minutes from Schiphol. It is the largest venue in the country and carries the international B2B calendar: IBC in September, METSTRADE in November, Intertraffic and Aquatech in their alternating years, and hospitality fairs such as Horecava in January. The halls are bright and modern, which suits clean stand photography before opening.
Jaarbeurs stands directly beside Utrecht Centraal, the busiest railway station in the Netherlands, and hosts a dense programme of Dutch trade shows in construction, installation, healthcare and food. Rotterdam Ahoy in Zuidplein combines exhibition halls with an arena and a convention centre; Europort, the maritime show, runs here in odd-year Novembers.
MECC Maastricht is the closest of the four to Essen and best known for TEFAF, the art and antiques fair in March, and for InterClassics in January. Its halls are compact and evenly lit and the old town is a short walk away.
