LIGNA is the world's leading trade fair for tools, machinery and equipment for wood processing and woodworking. In 2025 around 78,000 visitors came from 156 countries, more than half from outside Germany. On the stands, saws, edge banders, CNC centres and presses run under full load — we photograph and film exactly that, without you having to stop a machine.

At LIGNA hardly a machine stands still. Panel saws cut, edge banders feed workpieces through, CNC centres mill, presses close. For stills that means short exposures, high sensitivity and a photographer who knows the machine's rhythm before pressing the shutter. We do not stop any line — we wait for the moment when workpiece, tool and operator come together in the frame.
Wood is kind to the camera, machines less so: painted guards, stainless guides, polycarbonate hoods mirror the hall lighting. We photograph with our own light and a polarising filter so the machine stays readable as a shape and control panels, units and type plates are legible — the material your dealers pass on worldwide.
A manufacturing process explains itself on video. We film infeed, machining and outfeed at high frame rate so cutting, edge gluing or coating can be shown in slow motion. From that material we cut a 30-second highlight for LinkedIn and longer sequences for dealer training and your website — with subtitles in German or English.
With surface technology, hardware and tools the close-up counts: cutting edges, coating gloss, joint lines. We photograph samples and tools with a macro rig right on the stand so the images match in catalogue and data sheet.
LIGNA 2027 runs for the first time on five full working days without a public holiday. Monday and Tuesday bring the decision-makers from industry and trade who arrive with appointments; we recommend a four-hour package on one of these days, starting in the hour before opening for stand shots without visitors. Team and product shots that need quiet fit Thursday and Friday.
LIGNA takes place only every two years. If you take home clean material of running machines, team and conversations in 2027, you have pictures and video for shows, catalogues and dealer portals in every market until 2029.
Saws, edge banders and CNC centres under load — short exposures, no stopping the line.
Infeed, machining and outfeed at high frame rate — cutting and coating in slow motion.
Cutting edges, coating gloss and joint lines with a macro rig on the stand — matching for catalogue and data sheet.
Architecture and lighting before the doors open, with no visitors in frame.
Consultations at the machine with customers from more than 150 countries — no flash, no interruption.
Statements from application engineers, dealers and customers with radio mics — intelligible even beside a running machine.
A post with your stand while the show is still running gets seen and shared. That is why every package includes finished photos and video within 24 hours after the event ends — first images usually the same day. Two revision rounds included.
A sample from our production: the event recap for your website and LinkedIn — below it, native 9:16 footage for Reels, Shorts and Stories, shot in parallel with the main coverage.
