A revision round is one pass in which the client sends a collected list of changes to photos or video and the provider carries them out.
After the first delivery the client reviews the material and collects comments, such as different music, a shorter scene, a corrected name in a caption or a further selection of photos. This list is handed over in one go and implemented. That is a revision round.
Quotes for photo and video usually state how many revision rounds are included in the price. Revisions concern the editing of existing material. New footage or a completely different concept are usually not included, because they require a new shoot or edit.
Revision rounds protect both sides. You as the exhibitor know that errors will be fixed and wishes taken into account. The provider can plan the effort, because not every single comment triggers a new pass.
To keep revisions fast, bundle your feedback and collect it in one place. For videos, give the exact timestamp, such as 0:14, and describe what should change. Decide beforehand who signs off, because conflicting wishes from marketing, sales and management cost time. After a trade fair every day counts, because the material works best while the event is still fresh in people's minds. If you supply names, job titles and product names in the briefing, you avoid many corrections, especially for captions filmed on your stand (booth). And review the first version promptly, so the revision round can be done the same or the next day.
For trade fair videos most revisions concern text overlays, subtitles, music and the order of scenes. For photos it is usually about the selection or a retouch, such as a distracting object in the background.
