Joint pavilion stand: several exhibitors under one shared roof

A joint pavilion stand is an exhibition stand on which several exhibitors present under one shared identity, for example as a national pavilion, regional stand or association stand. Each exhibitor usually has a small space or counter of its own within it.

Definition

Joint pavilions are planned and booked by an organising body, for example an export promotion agency, a federal state, an industry association or a chamber of commerce. Co-exhibitors get their own space within the pavilion, often a system stand (booth) module with counter, graphics and basic furniture.

National pavilions of foreign exhibitors are common at German trade fairs. For many companies a pavilion is the easiest route to a first fair, because organisation, stand construction and part of the costs are bundled. What is included is set out in the contract with the organising body.

What it means for exhibitors

On a joint pavilion you share attention, aisles and design with others. That has advantages: the pavilion as a whole is large and visible, and visitors interested in a particular country or sector come on purpose. The drawback is that your own space can easily look interchangeable.

Use every bit of freedom the organiser leaves you. Your own product at eye level, a clear graphic with your logo and a well-kept space make the difference. Ask in advance whether your own lights, screens or roll-ups are allowed.

Also clarify who may take photos on the pavilion. Some organisers bring their own photographers, but their images mainly show the pavilion as a whole. If you need material for your own marketing, a separate booking is worthwhile.

In practice

On joint pavilions we work with tighter framing. We photograph your space so that your logo and products are in the centre and neighbouring co-exhibitors appear only at the edges. Conversations with visitors show that your offer is attracting interest.

For exhibitors from abroad we deliver the photos within 24 hours after the show ends, with video clips for the home market on request. More in the guide Show material for your home market. On request we also photograph your team in front of the whole pavilion and moments with delegations, which you can use for reports and press.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I hire my own photographer on a joint pavilion?

Usually yes. Check briefly with the organising body so that passes and arrangements with the other co-exhibitors are clear.

How do you make my space stand out from the neighbours in photos?

With tighter framing, your logo in the shot and scenes with your staff and visitors. The wider pavilion appears only where it adds context.

Do you invoice foreign exhibitors without German VAT?

Companies outside the EU are invoiced without German VAT. EU companies are invoiced under reverse charge with a valid VAT ID.
