A corporate video is rarely made or broken on the shoot day; it is decided in the weeks before. This guide walks you through the four decisions that set scope and price: goal, length, number of shoot days and budget, plus a realistic timeline.

Many corporate video projects start with a picture in someone’s head: a drone shot over the site, people in production, the logo at the end. That is a list of scenes, not a goal. The goal answers a different question: who watches the film, in what situation, and what should they know or do afterwards?
Write the answer down in one sentence before you talk to a production company. Four examples show how different the resulting films are:
If two of these audiences matter equally, plan two cuts from one shoot rather than one film that serves both halfway. Where an image film ends and a recruiting video begins is covered in our guide image film or recruiting video.
Length follows use, not budget. A film that starts automatically on a homepage is watched differently from one your sales team sends after a meeting. As a rule of thumb:
| Version | Typical use | What fits |
|---|---|---|
| 60 seconds | Homepage, LinkedIn, newsletter | One core message, two or three voices, strong pictures |
| 90 seconds | Service pages, ads, trade fair screens | Message plus proof: process, product, one customer benefit |
| 2 to 3 minutes | About page, sales presentation | A story with a beginning, middle and end, several interviews |
| 3 to 5 minutes | Investors, partners, onboarding | Sites, processes, leadership and values in detail |
| 9:16 clips | Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn on mobile | One sentence, one picture, with subtitles |
Most companies do not need one length but a family: a main film, a short cut and a few vertical clips. That adds little shooting time if it is planned in advance. The short cut needs its own opening shots and sentences that work without context, and those only exist if the interviewer asks for them.
Shooting time is the biggest cost driver. It depends on how many locations, interviews and processes the film should show. A rough rule from practice:
What often shifts the estimate: distances between buildings, new lighting for each interview, machines that only run at a certain hour, and colleagues who are only available on one shift. It is better to drop one location and get better pictures of the rest. How to organise the day itself is covered in preparing a shoot day at your company.
Pixer publishes fixed prices. They depend on the scope of the shoot, not on the type of film, and are quoted plus VAT:
| Package | Shoot | Result | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corporate Basic | half day, one location | 60-second film, 2 vertical cuts, subtitles in German or English | €1,990 |
| Corporate Professional | full day, up to 2 locations | film up to 3 minutes, 60-second cut, 3 vertical clips, licensed music | €2,990 |
| Corporate Premium | 2 shoot days | concept, script, voice-over, 3 to 5-minute film, 90-second cut, 5 clips | €4,990 |
| Brand film | 3 to 5 shoot days | director, storyboard, drone, 2 to 3 versions, 10 clips | from €9,900 |
Unlimited usage rights are included in every package, and so is travel within North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Additional shoot days, travel to other German cities (quoted once per trip), actors, studio hire and add-ons such as drone footage, further languages or express delivery are listed separately in the offer. Non-EU companies pay no German VAT; EU companies with a VAT ID are invoiced under reverse charge. The full list is on our corporate video page.
For your own budget, include internal costs too: management time for the briefing and approval, the working time of colleagues on camera, and the hours needed to prepare and tidy the locations.
Allow three to five weeks from first enquiry to finished film if decisions on your side are made quickly. If the film has a fixed deadline, such as a website launch or a trade fair, plan backwards from that date. Marketing teams abroad should add time for approval by head office.
Who watches, where, and what should they do next? Plan scenes only after that.
60 seconds for homepage and LinkedIn, two to three minutes for sales, plus vertical clips.
Half a day for one location, a full day for two, two days for script and voice-over.
Corporate packages from €1,990 to €4,990, brand film from €9,900, plus VAT.
Three to five weeks from enquiry to film if decisions are made quickly.
One core message, few approvers, consent forms and subtitles from the start.
For a homepage and LinkedIn, 60 to 90 seconds is often enough; for sales and the about page, two to three minutes is common. The practical answer is a main film with a short cut and vertical clips from the same shoot.
One location with one or two interviews fits into half a day. Two locations with several interviewees need a full day; several sites or a scripted film with voice-over need two days.
€1,990 (half day, 60-second film), €2,990 (full day, film up to three minutes) or €4,990 (two days with concept, script and voice-over), plus VAT. Larger productions start with the brand film from €9,900.
No. You bring the goal, the audience and the people who can go on camera. We write the structure, interview questions and shot list, and in the Premium package a full script with voice-over text.
Yes. Briefing, interviews and subtitles are available in English, German, Arabic and Persian. Non-EU companies are invoiced without German VAT.
Usage rights are unlimited in time and territory. In practice a corporate video lasts as long as people, rooms and offer are current, so also plan scenes that do not depend on a single person.
