The show app is the official mobile app of a trade fair. It brings together the exhibitor directory, hall plan, programme and ticket and helps visitors find their way around the venue.
Many large fairs offer their own app, or the venue company offers one app for several events. Typical features are search for exhibitors and products, interactive hall plans with route guidance, the programme of talks, a favourites list, the digital ticket and news from the organiser.
Some apps also include features for meetings and matchmaking, and some for scanning visitor badges for lead capture. Which features exist, and which of them exhibitors pay for, differs from fair to fair. Many apps are available before the show so that visitors can plan their visit.
For visitors, the app is often the first contact with your company. Anyone searching for a product or topic lands on your exhibitor profile. So keep it complete via the exhibitor portal: description, logo, product categories, contacts, hall and stand number, plus pictures and, where possible, a video.
Use current, well-chosen pictures. A photo of your stand (booth) from the last show tells visitors what to look for in the hall. Product pictures help people searching for new products.
Watch the deadlines. Profiles are sometimes also used for printed directories, and changes are not possible at any time. If the app offers meeting requests, someone on your team should answer them regularly. Once your profile is published, check it yourself in the app on a smartphone. That way you see what visitors see.
For your profile in the show app you need pictures that match your current presence. We deliver photos and videos of the stand, plus vertical clips in 9:16 format that you can use for the app, your website and social media. Usage rights are unlimited, so you can use the material anywhere.
You usually receive the first photos on the same day. If the platform allows it, add pictures from the first day during the show. The guide Trade fair photos for your website shows which formats and motifs work for websites and profiles.
Usually via the organiser's exhibitor portal. That is where you maintain your profile, which then appears in the app and the online directory.
A clear photo of your stand, product pictures and your logo. The pictures should be current and match what visitors will see at the stand.
Send us the fair, hall and stand number. You receive photos and clips for the app, website and social media within 24 hours after the show ends.
